to view a muttonbird

the muttonbird island, in coffs harbour, is a natural reserve of the aforementioned bird. besides them, there’re also quite a few kinds of birds. though i know none of their names, they’re still beautiful to look at. the way they fly, gather, in such strong wind, on such steep slopes, over such a magnificient ocean, seems to remind us of something fundamental in life.

my favourite gentleman gave me a packet of chocolate, for me to have on the road. on the packet it said ‘the chocolate that will melt your heart’. i should’ve told him, that my heart doesn’t need the choco to be melted, for he himself, alone, is enough to get the job done.

last nite

had a gathering with another HK WHV ppl. she’s thinking whether she should apply for the 2nd WHV or not. there’re always a lot for us to consider, like the responsibility to family, to ourselves, career opportunity, age, interestingness, etc. we also made a list of possible outcomes if this and that happens. after a long discussion, we agreed it’s she who should make the decision. (yeah very constructive, i know) hard to decide, but that’s life.

and, so excited that my trip heading queensland will be started in the coming thur.

City 2 Surf

The Sun-Herald held the first City2Surf 37 years ago. What began as a small community event has become an annual Sydney institution which attracts people from all over Australia and is now one of the biggest fun runs in the world.
